Any fountain can be a solar fountain.  How?  Just get a solar pump.  You will need to install a small solar panel near the pond or fountain.  The pump will be electrified by the solar panel.  It’s a much better solution than leaving the outdoor fountain running all the time.

The cost for a solar pump is around $100-$200.  You can expect to pay around $100.00 more for a solar pump.  The solar pump may cost more in the beginning, but over time you will regain your investment.  It’s basically free to run a solar pump. 

Music and Other Features
A solar panel can run more than one item.  You may consider getting a larger solar panel and running outdoor music or an outdoor shower along with your solar pump.  As solar technology progresses you can expect the features to continue to get better and better.
