Plant Containers
Plant Containers
The container can make your plants more appealing. Indoor plants look great in vases that go with the color scheme. Many vases are so appealing that they are considered a work of art and are more important than the plants. Consider carefully something that will stand out in your home décor.
Outdoor Containers
Fiberglass containers work nicely for several reasons. They are strong, cheap, and light. They have a lot of colors to choose from. You can get very large vases that will look awesome in an entryway or next to your front door.
Metal Containers
Metal is the most durable. Most metal containers are black. This black color is similar to compost topdressing for flower beds. It contrasts with the plants bright flowering colors and look really nice. In addition, the ornately done metal containers are to be admired.
Wood Containers
Wood says you like to keep it natural and soft. It doesn’t stand out, but provides an understated elegance to the project.
Raised Planters
A lot of people create their own raised container. The advantage is that you can make it quite large and to exact specifications. Good materials to use are landscape timbers, Timberlok landscape screws, and Simpson ties; don’t use pressure treated wood because it will contaminate the soil. Make sure you level out the area before beginning the project.
Raised planters have the huge advantage of gardening without killing your back. You will not have to bend over to pull weeds and tend to plants. They can also be a place to sit down when tired. Some people sit comfortably on the planter while tending to plants.
