Plant stands can be for the indoors or outdoors.  They showcase your plants indoors and help them get to the right level for getting sunlight through the windows. 

Outdoors they are used for ornamental reasons.  It is nice to be able to have a plant stand in your container garden.  It’s a way to organize your plants and make them easy to watch. 

Plant Stand Benefits
The primary benefit is that you get the plants off the ground.  Closer to eye level they are easier to water and more beautiful to look at.  It’s kind of silly to have all your plants sitting on the edge of furniture and the ground. 

Plant Stand Materials
The materials and styles are too numerous to imagine.  Most stands are made out of steel or wrought iron.  They are usually black or silver in color.  Some plant stands are ornate and others are plain. 

Unique Stands
Old wooden barrels, miniature wheelbarrows, and hollowed out tree stumps are some of the unique stands people use.  To make your yard unique, try and find something that is special to you that you wouldn’t normally use as a plant stand.  It will stand out more and your yard will feel more at home.
