Exotic Flowers

Bird of Paradise
The bird of paradise is a beautiful flower that looks like a flying bird.  It is most often bright orange with velvety purple. 

Orchids
Orchids are very exotic. There are over 22000 species.  Over 800 new species are found every year.  Many orchids are unique because they are found deep in wilderness rain forest areas.  They have much variety to choose from.

Ginger
Ginger is a rounded red Polynesian flower.  It is unique in texture and shape.  It is cylindrical like a lilac bloom, but smaller and the texture is like a Thistle.

Protea
Protea are native to Africa.  They come in pinks and reds.  They are very popular in exotic flower arrangements.  They are rounded and open and close.

Heleconia
Heleconia is a large leafed exotic with vibrant yellow and orange flowers.  It looks somewhat similar to a Bird of Paradise.  The flower looks small because the plant leafs are so large.  Close up pictures reveal they have beautiful color.  Some people think the flower looks like lobster claws. 

Gloriosa
The Gloriosa is actually a Flame Lily.  Lilies are classical flowers, but have an exotic look to them.  The Gloriosa is vibrantly red and has a unique flower separation.
